I didn't start in tech. I started with a camera.

I studied photography in Madrid, then moved to London chasing a dream of photojournalism, travelling the world, telling stories through images. Life had other plans, and I'm glad it did.

Somewhere along the way I discovered technology, and it clicked in a way nothing else had. I threw myself into two years of web design and, within months of graduating, was teaching Photoshop and coding on the same course I'd just completed. That's when I understood: I don't just learn this stuff, I translate it.

I spent 17 years in London working as a web designer, WordPress and e-commerce expert, and IT Manager, including time at the BBC. I built systems, solved problems, and helped organisations make technology work for real people.

Now I'm in Barcelona, doing the same thing, but for the businesses I care about most.

Most of my days I work from home, with a balance between family and work that I've built deliberately and protect fiercely.

That balance? It's not luck. It's systems.

Barcelona Women's Network 

– a multicultural, multicultural, diverse group with something for everyone. They set up social activities for their members, and also help them navigate life in this beautiful city and region.

I'm helping with their WordPress site,  as Membership Committee and a Tech Team Committee. 

African Palms

– hand wooden palm crosses done by a Tanzania village so their people can earn extra money to have a better life.

Shabda Editions

– an ONG to help to distribute and make accessible Buddhism knowledge and books in different languages.

AFA Pau Casals

– the local families of students of my kids’ school. I’m helping with their website and any digital technology to have smooth communication between schools and families.

– a community for mothers who want to nurture, inspire and reconnect with themselves. They believe if we take care of ourselves, we can take better care of our families. I’m the digital and developer support for their website (designed and set up for me) and any digital technologies they required.

-I was working as a volunteer a branch coordinator helping local parents to have a safe space to take their babies, running events and helping on the newsletters for all members.
