Or a better End of the Year Review for 2020
I was hesitating to do it, yes, more or less I do, on my head every year over Christmas period, but this year I decided to do it on a journal and ask few key questions.
Every year, on one way or another, I reflect the year that it's ending, but not in detail. Sometimes because the year didn't go as well as I want it so better to forget and pass a page over ... (one mistake for me) other years because I was so busy with my kids! (one more mistake, priority you!)
But this year, I really want to reflect 2020, and look forward to 2021 to come.
Find a comfortable place, switch off distractions like mobile phone and close tabs in your browser, or close your browser fully (after reading this, of course...) and if you cannot (not every time I do that) just choose to be present and answer the following questions without thinking much (so intuition will come with the first words)
Review your calendar if you need, go month by month if you feel to and write down the highlights of each month or each quarter.
Here a few categories I choose to follow, add or remove your own categories.
After review all those categories, it's easy to write what you learn from this year. Make a list, without categorizing them, of what you learned this year.
What are the top 3 or 4 highlights of 2020
What are you proud of? Or make a positive impact on your, your family or people around you?
Anything you don't want to take with you in 2020
What are you going to leave behind in 2020, that you don't want to carry forward?
